J.T., 1999 was similar to 1998 in many ways. But all the other years were dis-similar. 2000 is already different from the last two years. The January effect and Santa Clause rally were most striking in the last few years when the Fed was rapidly expanding the Monetary Base in those late in those years. This year is off to a bad start.

I am somewhat angry in that my inexperience has cost me -- I was unprepared to handle speculative buying frenzy and idiotic price target upgrades by so-called analysts.
