Re: Give it a rest on the Italian. The logical thing to do is let them investigate and find out what went wrong, DON'T YA THINK???? The U.S. military has a disgusting and dishonest record when it comes to their "investigations". In fact, the more devious the officers are, the more likely they are to advance, in the immoral and deranged world of the military. The most despicable one of all is Colin Powell, who really saw his career take off when he lied, dissembled and distracted the honest investigators into the My Lai Massacre and related atrocities committed by the unit Powell was with, the Americal Division. To cap off a career of deceit, Powell completely dishonored America's name and reputation in the UN chambers on February 5, 2003 when he committed at least 38 separate lies or distortions in his totally fraudulent attack on Iraq's purported WMD infrastructure. The military in the U.S. has a shameful record of deceit, anti-democratic engagements and horrifyingly arrogant profligacy with the American taxpayers money. And did I mention that they are simply thugs, mere murderers for hire for the corporations? War is just a racket. But you knew that, didn't you? lexrex.com
