The GOP is fond of saying that liberals act as impediments to progress. So then, how is your reaction to the pork in defense or global warming or Kyoto any different I'm not against rooting our pork in the military budget (or any other part of the government's budget), I'm just saying it won't be easy. Kyoto isn't progress. The truth is defense is so bloated and fat, a non military person like myself could go in and cut fat to my heart's delight and not hit muscle. It might be bloated in the sense that it is large but it doesn't have an exceptional amount of far by government standards. The fat is there, and in such a big budget you could save a decent amount of money but its often well mixed in with the muscle. Tim
