Some humans believe that every option should be explored before going to war. I'm probably nitpicking words here. I think what you mean is some humans believe diplomacy should be pursued as long as it has some chance of success before starting a war. "Every option" implies some humans would naturally surrender when confronted with war, and that's not really true for free societies (other than the French). Actually, never mind, the sentence above is correct, and all the countries that surrendered to Germany in WW2 rather than fight prove it so.
