In response to your questions about the Mystery Fax:

The fax consists of text only. It is not even written on letterhead stationery. Thus, it would not require Photoshop to produce.

I have not bothered confirming the existence of the firm whose name appears on the heading, because I don't care whether or not they exist. Since I was not the intended recipient of the document, I believe that the company would be unwilling to discuss it with me. Moreover, I don't really have time to get into it, as I am preparing to go on vacation.
