Allen and others,
I saw the Embedded Systems mag article as well. The article broke I2O into hardware and software. Intel leading the hardware side, and good ole' WIND on the soft side. What impressed me is that the word monopoly was used, and not in regards to Intel! The article stated that if I20 does succeed, other players will surface on the OS side. But, for now, WIND was the only game in town. If my memory and technical abilities serve me correctly, the article was not shy about expanding the I20 paradigm off of the server to the point that every part of the computing system was using the standard and benefitting from its advantages.

I know we are all aware of this, but it is still nice to see reiterated.
