Tech sectors are weakening slightly from opening levels with semiconductor, software, networking, and Internet slightly lower. 09:31 ET Western Wireless (WWCA) 40.94 -2.52: -- Update -- CIBC World Markets downgrades to HOLD from Buy due to uncertainty over AWE roaming contract renewal and aggressive technology deployment plans; roaming contract with AWE expires 5/15 and while firm expects it to be renewed, roaming rates are likely to be halved and reach $0.10 per minute by '06; cuts '02 roaming rates est from $262 mln to $233 mln and '02 EBITDA est from $438 mln to $408 mln; lowers '01 est due to weaker int'l operations and '02 due to a combination of lower roaming revenues and int'l losses.
