Telecom Executive Jeffrey Relick Joins SynXis Corporation as Vice President and COO of Telecom Division

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 1999--SynXis Corporation, a leading developer of Web-based eCommerce and software solutions, today announced the appointment of Jeffrey R. Relick as vice president and chief operating office for the Company's Telecom Division, effective immediately.

Relick will relocate from Chicago to SynXis's headquarters in McLean, Virginia.

Relick joins SynXis from Chicago-based Moore Business Communication Services. He joined Moore in 1994, serving as vice president and general manager for their Telecommunications Market; and, in early 1999, was promoted to vice president and general manager of Industry Markets where he was responsible for driving double-digit revenue growth.

From 1990 to 1994, Relick served as vice president of New Product Development and Sales for the Telecommunications Group at R R Donnelley and Sons Company.

From 1985 to 1990, Relick served in several positions at US Sprint beginning as a group market manager for Residential and Small Businesses, then as director of National Account Service Management and New Products Systems before being named director of Residential and Small Business Services. Relick began his career in telecom as a marketing associate for GTE Service Corporation.

Relick received an MBA from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA degree from Denison University. Relick and his wife Tami, and their three children, will relocate to Northern Virginia from Chicago.

SynXis Corporation (www.synxis.com) develops Internet-based software products that enable more efficient business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions over the Web. Recent contracts include an award from Bell Atlantic for the SynXis eBill and SynXis eDirectory products for the Yellow Pages.

SynXis has also designed and built a Web-based hotel reservation management system that is scheduled for release in the fall. SynXis has offices in McLean, Virginia, and Denver, Colorado.
