Off-Topic [please excuse]. . . Dale, again I apologize if my firmness may have hurt your feelings. That was never the intent. I hold absolutely nothing against you personally.
Facts are these:
1. Home thread playing BDE long as foremost long play
2. You openly admit to playing BDE short
3. You ask question, which causes readers to "doubt" BDE's ability to perform
4. I read your question as a typical aggressive play from a short, whom I did not know. . .against a group of longs and I call it such.
5. You disagree with my perception and claim you were only asking a simple question.
6. I feel a sense of responsibility and choose to protect those that rely on me as they learn the ways of the market and how to think for themselves.
7. Joe Copia says you are an OK guy and feels that your question may have been sincere and not intended to throw out doubt, [as shorts are known to do when playing the opposite side of the ball].
So if I overreacted to a simple question, I apologize again. I won't stop my guard dog instinct, having been castrated in a timed attack by a pack of short-sellers once on a stock known as PRFM. And if I come off as being overly sensitive in that area, you will know why.
Sorry if you distrust my intentions and feel that somewhere down the road, I have this "master plan conspiracy" of leading everyone "astray", as if that were even possible. By contrast, I am constantly telling those that read my thread to "think for yourselves" and "make your own decisions" and "never follow anyone blindly" . . .I do not add the words "except for me" to any of that advice.
And for over 7 months, I have put in 14-16 hour days pouring through Edgars and news articles; studying charts and logs to make sure my selections are bulletproof. . . .and answering everyone's questions. For what?
I too, am sensitive to those that build a mass following of "blind" sheep and charge 400 bucks per month for membership and have seminars that cost more than most people in the world make in a year. And I totally agree with you that it is wrong. . . and I am certain that follies such as these will not have a pretty end.
And yes, I will one day be leaving SI's paid website to join another, where we will have more freedom, no unknown lurkers, continuous communication and far better organization of information. Why? Efficiency breeds profitability.
I don't appreciate your bashing campaign and I will not spar with you or anyone else. If you say your question was sincere and had nothing to do with influencing others, due to your short position. . . . then I will believe you. . . .and for the last time am sorry for concluding otherwise.
I wish this to end here and now. . .and do not intend to air any more dirty laundry in public. . . or discuss this issue here or elsewhere any further. I wish you only the best in your trading and personal life.
