I can't believe he actually said:

It's as if he's trying to distance himself (and MS) from this WinCE thingy :)

Reminds me of Clinton's first denial. Something on the lines of "I did not have relations with that woman, Ms Lew.."

I saw an interview with a body language expert who later claimed that the usage of the term "that woman" was unconsciously used to distance himself from the whole affair- as if he was a "third" party to the whole thing.

Where am I going with this? I think that the quote from Ballmer signals the same thing:

"No offense to the Pocket PC..."

I have too much time on my hands I think ;)
