Trading in U.S. stocks from a foreign country.....they dont care if it went public a few seconds ago ....you can short it......as long as you have the equity to back it up......period.... call a canadian firm and ask them.......but ask them on the basis that your account was with them a while...and ask them what type of equity you would need to show them....i believe its 20k now to open up an account.... best of luck.. mike
