I still think that the interest has not picked up on SAT, despite favourable
recent news. This is a quality company, but you will have to be patient.
I spoke to the preseident of SAT last summer, because I thought the
company was intrigueing. He is a very quiet, unassuming person like
his company.
SAT suffers to some degree from the thinking that it is a governement
mandated monopoly for broadcast services into remote communities.
As the monopoly ends in 1998, SAT will begin to be valued as a private
company. If there strategy of diversifying their revenue through projects
like ExpressVu and mobile communications starts to produce revenue,
a multiple expansion could be warranted.
