i grew up in a city of about 130,000, yet never met a black person until two years after i graduated. He was the one who encouraged me to get my degree. he had an associate degree from the accounting college i thought of attending from hs but cost too much ($800yr).

talk about life in retirement another friend who retired when i did only he was age 50, started on his second career, he devoted his life to the church, became a minister and goes back to nyc three days aweek to help in his old neighborhood church. I have so much respect for choice and unselfish dedication to others.
