I'm also joining the ranks of the account holders that feel
uncomfotable about displayed user-id number. As it might not realistically be a step toward security breach, it does LOOK that
way!
As commented by John Tara, in his earlier posting, displayed identity
information attracts unwanted attention from people looking at your
screen or in your computer. Some of your clients trade from their
work place where there is a constant stream of co-workers passing
by your work station, or worse, share your system. You also have
some clients that trade from the school's "computer room" which
IS NOT so private!
Lastly, consider your potential clients who might conclude, if for no other reason than paranoia, that their future accounts at Datek is less secure than some other brokerage firms (less enrollment).
