I am not the young one - that refers to the observer at the convention, who, by the way, is old enough to have lived through some very tough experiences. In any case, I agree with the view that regionalism/ generalization explains very little, especially regarding sex. I'll judge on other qualities, many of which can be discerned by reading porch posts.
