The Divx player also supports digital audio output for use with an external DAC
(Digital-to-Analog Converter), and a multitude of other sound components.
To ensure the highest visual quality, Divx players are equipped with S-video
and, on higher-end players, Component video output. Divx offers the highest
horizontal resolution (480 lines) and color resolution of any other
mainstream consumer video format, translating to less video noise and a
more vibrant color spectrum.

Wait, if Divx has a digital output to external D/A, then it will be easy to pirate.

Do current DVD players provide a higher resolution output than 480 horizontal lines? If so, then Divx has less resolution capability than DVD . . .
