I don't think it important so long as there are not systemic problems which will result in a chronically increasing national debt. Unfortunately, both SS and Medicare create such a systemic problem.

So you think the current taxation and spending policies have not lead to a systemic debt problem? Worst, a debt the government owes those very entitlements that bug you....and then you lecture Amy that surpluses equal "the goverment collecting more taxes than it needs" Dorothy left you with the apple trees on the way to OZ, did she? LOL
