J~

I don't believe taht at ALL. They've got the fabs, the product is cheap to produce. Tehy can flood the market with it, and I'd guess taht's waht they'll do. Short-term (and maybe long, but that doesn't matter) they're desperate, and will do waht they need to do. Sure, the fifty gazillion new fabs under construction won't get built, which is a good thing, but there're quite enough as it is. Those owned by companies under pressure will be offered at fire-sale prices, their product discounted yet more.

Me, I wouldn't wanna be MU. Okay--forget Siemens for the moment--they and TXN are the major US DRAM producers, but I really fail to see what edge this gives them, considering the dumping we'll see in Asia--to which MU's already alluded more than once--in the proximate future and beyond.
