(Dow Jones)--U S West (USW) agreed to use Gemstar International Group Ltd.'s (GMST) interactive program guide technology in digital set-top boxes to customers of U S West Choice TV. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed. In a press release Thursday, U.S. West said it will offer the latest version of Gemstar's guide technology to customers in Phoenix when it launches its Choice TV & Online service.
