Agree, but what if they were already in and have been swayed by Trumpian freedumb bs? (Think of all the ex-cops and military on 1/6; cops and soldiers do tend to be right wing in the first place).

Hopefully the news that the Ottawa police are starting to clamp down dismisses this possibility, but it was a thought.
