OT- if you want to talk about a country being responsible for the most murder/destruction since WWII, the U.S. takes the cake. Here's a list of the countries that the U.S. has bombed since the end of World War II, compiled by historian William Blum. Unfortunately, Canada being primarily a U.S. puppet like Britain, participated in Kosovo.

None of which led to any form of stable democratic government taking power. In Guatemala's case it lead to decades of bloody rule by various military leaders -
