I might agree with a flat tax. But I don't think that a "progressive tax" is unconstitutional. I have seen arguments that any income tax is unconstitutional but I don't agree and if those arguments where true they would also make a flat income tax unconstitutional. I was unable to find any argument on the page you link to that it is unconstitutional. If it is practically bad or even immoral that would not make it unconstitutional.

What part of the constitution do you think it violates?
