Dr. Oliver: I agree with your post 2254. I stated (post 2245) that I think that an internist (I am an internist/pulmonologist [lung disease]) is theoretically the most ideal M.D. to be a primary care physician [PCP] treating HIV/AIDS patients ("internist, who has had training in HIV and infectious disease" [ID]). An ID M.D. should not be the PCP. The info in posts 2231/2233 is rather good.
