OT - I'm planning to go on a sightseeing vacation for 2 weeks in October with my better half. If any of you good folks have been to any of the spots we plan on seeing, I'd appreciate any input from you about any non-tourist trap places of interest that a gimp with a limp, ET AL (that would be me), might enjoy seeing.

We are going to hit the Lake Placid / Adirondack Park region of upstate New York for a couple of days.

From there, on to Maine for about 8 or 9 days. We've never been there & want to explore all the great outdoor sights & eat lots & lots of lobster.

:-)

Next, we plan on returning to a quick day trip through Cape Cod (all the way to Provincetown) were we honeymooned 27 years ago - Oh ya, more lobster.

;-)

Since my wife has never been to New York City, we're going to spend 2 or 3 days there - Ground Zero, Times Square, Broadway & 42nd st, the Empire State bldg, the concrete jungle of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty.

Our last stop will be State College PA for a day or two, since we are both PSU alumni - we haven't been there for at least 15 years (gotta get a grilled sticky, hit the Creamery, sit for a spell on the Wall, see the campus & grub it up at the Arena).

TIA - Tim
