See those reserves getting bigger and bigger
See those earnings remain less than zero

With absolutely definitely no earnings MO <big g>

Dear Juno Member,

Zoom's rebate offer on the new internal Dualmode 56K faxmodem for PCI

high speed modem comes bundled with the full retail version of Hasbro
Interactive's Battleship game at no extra cost! Other offers include
products from Lexmark, SyQuest, Edmark and Comtrad. As always, you can
order any of these products by checking the specific toll-free number
listed below the product description. Check out these exciting deals:

David: you should not be comparing 3Com and Zoom - that's a bit like
comparing Clinton and Lewinsky - sure they do some things in common but one does a heck of a lot more and is a lot bigger!

3Com should be compared to the guys like ASND, CS, CISCO though
even that is not perfect since unlike these big boys they do
a lot of things closer to the client side as well.

But 3Com can't be compared to ZOOM & DIMD & BOCA since I would guess
no more than 25-35% of 3Com's revenue is modems whereas 98+% of Zoom's revenue is modems. So it is no surprise that 3Com has outperformed since they had a much smaller percentage at risk (plus they are just a tad larger and thereby have all the large cap premiums built in!) Besides Zoom ain't got no Palm!

3Com's really a hybrid company that really should stand by itself - I tried but could not create a good comparison. I would be interested to see whom they measure themselves against in their proxy mailings to shareholders.

Now if only ZOOM could sell some of those high margin dialers I would be happy!

Shane.
