Your comment about servers being overloaded, thus slowing or halting data, affirms my point exactly. Clearly, the efficaciousness of the internet appears to be largely non-modem related. Andreas, True in various case. There are advantages to fast connection speeds. I downloaded the newest version of Real Video (2 MB) and received the file at the rate of 100KBytes/second. It took a few minutes total. A modem cannot do that. Glenn
