Hi John,

For the record, I'm just about as pissed as you are about the performance of Inprise. That said, I'm not sure Del should be criticized here. None of us really understand the basis for sales commissions in the past. It is very possible that sales personnel have enjoyed a sweetheart deal because management recognized that sales would be slow for a time. If that is true, then it makes sense for Inprise to bring commissions back in line with the norm. Before we go off half cocked in criticizing Del, I think it is important for us to understand the whole picture. I agree with you that the issue could be raised at the stockholder's meeting, but I think it is best to reserve judgement until we have better information.
