BillyG, The Profile system is here at NBC. Our new digital plant has extensive Tek Profile utilization. I see manuals everywhere. One of the problems associated with compression is how do you monitor it and quantify quality. Besides testing compressors we are also looking at testing and monitoring equipment. We nearly always end up testing, installing then debugging a lot of GVG and Tek equipment. We seem to find new glitches or everyone else just lives with them. Our lab is very through in testing and working with editors and producers to stretch the usefulness of a product. We tend to find GVG and Tek as the best products in the marketplace and are used everywhere in the plant. Look for the GEnesis digital plant here at NBC to be promoted when it finally goes on line.....(completion time has slipped since June). CNBC will be next when we relocate from Ft.Lee.
