Tony, my point was limited to the fact that the markets have gone nowhere this year. It was in response to the poster who held up a utilities index and a REIT index to demonstrate that things are going up.

Whether or not you do anything about selling or holding your stocks/funds is a different matter. I sold most of my tech stocks and mutual funds this year and I am happy that I did. I am also happy that I didn't sell the little REIT/financials holdings in my portfolio!
