I there any way to avoid default? It makes no sense for either IMF or Brazil to continue the cycle of borrowing to pay interest. Wouldn't be surprised to see a situation similar to Russia 1998 when the IMF procrastinated until Russia defaulted and finally fixed their own problems. I think O'Neil is right on this one. -Z
