Most of us do not know what Symmetricom does?

They started with frequency devices like quartz crystals. Now they have vertically integrated to Docsis 3.0 servers enabling timehub servers for highest speed voip. Then roaming activity will tie down all the GPS satellites around the world for telephony into remote areas?

But they probably are not known for atomic clocks that is used in GPS satellite systems. Atomic clock holds better time accurately, more so than other clocks.

The future of GPS satellite is infinitely more than distance measurements. It is a big help in locating where you are on a map. But there are small hand held GPS devices now that can locate your children and even talk to them like a telephone. It has only three dedicated channels for now. Who knows in the future what or how many can use GPS satellite for telephony. Millions maybe a conservative answer.

We are watching SYMM for some break thru in their new products that can revolutionize data transmission in triple play or quadruple or quintuple play across many available frequency bands. Symmetricom is manufacturer of data synchronization transmission products.

First, data compression technology is the cheapest technology. Then the next cheapest technology is the frequency bands and the overriding multiplexers and data compression codecs.

The direction of the SYMM business is how they implement their technology into the big spending markets. It will be fun, to see how their markets expand in every earnings call?
