Larry hello---spot pricing has certainly stabilized and held
now that the Koreans have taken a wait and see attitude.
Unfortunately demand is still very weak and inventories are
building up.TI is still playing the low ball game and may
cause the dam to break.
I think the wall street journal story regarding a whole new
slew of Japanese players in the pc arena may in the long run
cause prices to weaken further.Short term obvious more usage
but long term a battle for market share with companies that
will be able to put their own memory into their own machines
and bring prices down dramatically across the board.
I wonder if Compaq and HP will now form alliances to build
their own memory. Can't believe they will continue to support
the companies trying to put them out of business.
Regards Jerry
