John, Glad you are back. Interesting arcitle in Business Week, Oct13 Jeff Vinik, the old Megellan Fund manager, has an interesing investment approach. Find exceptional companies that have large short positions and buy over 5%, File a 13D, and confronted with this, panic sets in, the shorts need to buy, drives the stock up expoentially. He then sells at a huge profit. I really don't wish this on Agouron, but I think Agouron is a prime canadate for this play. The companies he has focused on are smaller caps, 200-700mil. The potential for explosive breakthroughs Agouron has up comming and the unusual short position is prime ground for this type of play. Again, Glad your back. Bill
