But you cant write off a whole generation the kids--the cost later on will be too great in terms of crime, sociopaths etc. And you cannot deny a kid attending school a meal if he is not getting properly fed at home. And yes i know, we dont have unlimited resources so who and what do we spend them on. The young represent the future so there must be a way. Beats sending ss money to wealthy retirees. For the wealthy retirees i would make donation of SS back to the government a charitable deduction that would aid them in their tax situation since they are wealthy to begin with. Just thought of that. Maybe would make that compulsory for anything but contributions being returned. LB is going to hate me. I am proposing taking away his mad money. mike
