Skeeter Bug,
In a subsequent message I said this:
And just to predict your next question: Yes I do think that it is important for the CSCO bulls to be receptive to opposing views.

The fact is though, that there are people that have an ax to grind with certain stocks or simply enjoy mocking holders of a stock because they think that they have some minority held view that the financial world is going to come to an end. It is the antagonistic and mocking tones that get the reaction. And I would argue that this is the intent. There is something to the saying "A spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down".

I am intensely pro-CSCO, I am also generally bullish on the market. This does not mean that I believe that CSCO isn't subject to competitive and market pressures.

And the fact is that anyone that holds a significant position of a stock in their portfolio is going to have some emotion attached to it. The reason for that is that their future well being can be tied to the success of that company. This does not excuse said person from blindly putting their faith in the company's ability to execute or the market's ability to continue like a freight train. But it certainly doesn't justify people coming into a forum for the sole purpose of antagonizing or taking pleasure in other peoples irritation or pain.

It is kinda funny, back toward the end of December my TA indicators indicated that the market was weakening again, but that it was only giving a "flashing yellow" warning. I posted this on a thread and was mocked by one of the perennial bears. The poster was mocking me because I wasn't in a panic mode. The poster indicated to me that the market wasn't going to give me a warning when it was ready to give it up. And the market kept going up...Two weeks ago my indicators gave a full sell signal. I bought a boatload of puts in my trading account and took protective positions on my longterm holdings. This is well documented on SI. I am not flying blind. I would suggest that anyone that is always a bull or always a bear is.

The crux of what I am trying to say is this: Motive counts
