vpelt: When you say to people that there will be problems but that you think that they will be dealt with, people who are uninformed might get the impression that y2k is no big deal and not do anything. I'm saying it is a huge deal, and anyone following this thread from the beginning should've been able to duduce that from CK Houstons continous posting of hard sources.
I am working right now with others who are forming a sort of "Grass Roots Army" but the web site isn't finished yet. I will post it to this thread when it's ready. I also am in the process of making my family aware of the scope of the situation. I feel I'm doing what I can. My main message is for people to get out there and investigate this on their own and start rattling cages. If it seems I'm yelling fire it's because I see alot of smoke. I'm curious why people like yourself don't perceive the same level of intensity that I do after researching y2k.

Utilities should have been prioritized 10 years ago in order to fix the embedded chip problems inherent in the electrical grids.
Check out Rick Cowles site if you haven't already, if we lose electricity then well, fill in the blank.

I really don't want to debate either, and I'm sorry to come off as telling you where your concerns should be. I honestly see this as a black and white issue and don't quite get how 2 people that have a serious understanding of the problem can be on such opposite ends of the spectrum. Again I think humans will eventually come out of this mess, I 'm just looking for clues and ideas to make the seemingly harsh landing easier.
