Financial Inducement Failed!

I tried to financially induce PDA staff to get me a Compaq iPaq H3650 to no avail. Gloom set in.

I purchased, however, two HWP 548's. I purchased one as a gift. The three store reps that I spoke to (@ Circuit City, Office Max, and a local store) all said the iPaq was the toast of the town. They had no idea when they would be in stock, and that it may take six months.

For the HWP 548 (32 MB!), I bought a "Targus Stowaway Portable Keyboard" that is simply fantastic! Unbelievable quality compared to the cheaper $69 keyboards that are prevalent.

The HWP 548 also has a slot for flash memory, which the iPaq doesn't have -- but nothing is perfect.

I also offered $200 for a Palm V (2 MB), due to the discontinuation of the product. They turned me down. They said the best they could do would be $289. A Palm Vx goes for $399.
