I also picked up some Open Text last week...tried to get it on IPO day,
but it bounded too high too quickly. So I felt lucky to get into
it 19 5/16. After all that brouhaha, stock is getting the cold
shoulder from traders. I guess it might be profit taking from the
lucky IPO buyers. I'm stymied as to its negative performance this
week. (Red Brick REDB, issued about the same time, has done well).
Open Text has alliances with people like Yahoo. Did I not research
its competition enough? Fortunately, I'm buoyed up by Softquad's
amazing path upward this week. Vartan, what's your take on
Open Text's near and mid term prospects?..should I be watching to
see which browsers and programs adopt it?
