One correction to your interesting post. Tribune Company, an early investor in the company,recently did not buy, but actually sold half their holdings in Checkfree in the open market in a block sale. They were left with 1.3 million shares, which as far as I know, they still own.
It is very frustrating to own a stock which lags the market, when the company seemingly is doing so well. Right now Checkfree is in it's quiet period, but on August 14th the company is scheduled to release it's financials for the year ended June 30th. At that time, the company will be able to discuss it's present and future outlook for the benefit of it's shareholders and other investors. A better perspective upon which an investor can hang his hat should evolve with the passage of time. Hopefully, everyone's patience will be rewarded.
