Well I'm getting antsy again :O) On one hand I see no real economic recovery yet.. a big (HUGE :o) market rally and no real correction.. Uncommonly good summer in the market.. Yes I just got back from a month vacation where I was basically close to all in.. paid my vacation expenses a few times over and only had sporadic market access.. (that cost me some profit in a few torque plays mind you..) ..still heavily in recession fighters and yielders, but some juniors for torque.. Saw little signs of economic woes during three weeks in Canada and one week return through US.. Brother-in-law's garden business on Vancouver island North of Nanaimo sorta in steady state.. some folks backing off services and tightening belts.. but new customers picking up the slack.. Lots of campers on the road in the more expensive KOA's.. less in the smaller places... Talked to a fellow from Australia on a two hour ferry wait at Duke point.. He figures Australia missed the recession.. and thinks Russia is strong (he was recently there.. ).. but I dunno if he's like me and walks around with the locals off the beaten track.. or sticks to tourist stuff.. I could say many campgrounds were empty a lot.. (KOAs were hoppin though) but it was towards end of summer.. US kids are already in school it seems a week ahead of Ontario.. Also lots of folks from east didn't camp as weather was so chitty all summer.. We got the week of summer on the way through Sudbury and north of Superior.. Miserable in Manitoba.. but no nothing stark... so yes I agree.. very weird.. Oh yeah.. not enough Timmies in Western Canada.. and what's up with all those Subways .. even in some hole in the wall places.. :O) TBS
