U.S. Box makers may be relatively safe from Asian companies for two reasons. First they have to buy the most expensive component from Intel with their reduced value currencies; Intel has already warned that they are expecting lower sales in Asia. Second, other components are largly made in Asia. Thus the superior distribution system of DELL and others over NEC could very well win out in the near term.
