I was just about to post this when I saw you had already done so. Very important essay. Question is, how long before this information begins to seep into public awareness? The MSM aren't covering it. My guess is quickly into the right half of the blogosphere, very slowly into the left half. People complain about the polarization of our politics, but most of it comes imo from the fact that the right and the left are now living in different information worlds. The media- and government-imposed basis of uniformity is gone. Left unanswered in Landes' essay is the basic question of motive. The Palestinian journalists who stage events know what they are doing and why. They are doing their duty for The Cause. But why do the western journalists play along with it, for so short-term a benefit to their personal careers, at such a great risk of their own credibility and that of their entire profession? Are they so decadent?
