Katherine,
You're too modest. I retrieved the qualifications from verticalnet.com
They follow (except I deleted your phone and fax numbers - people will have to go to the link you provided for that info...).
Katherine Derbyshire, formerly chief technical editor with Solid State Technology magazine, has joined the process group as managing editor of Semiconductor Online.
Derbyshire earned her master's degree in engineering materials from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her bachelor's degree in materials science and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Before joining Solid State Technology in 1994, she had published research on high temperature superconductors, III-V semiconductors, diamond thin films, and archaeological bronzes. She has contributed material to a number of other publications, including Wired magazine, and received an ASBPE award for technical journalism in 1997.
At Solid State Technology, Derbyshire covered lithography, etch, thermal processes, planarization, and fab automation, while providing overall technical leadership for the magazine.
