I think you're all missing the bigger point. Putting the competing browsers into MSFT's OS package does not address the larger issue that the DOJ and the 19 States are in court for. MSFT violated Anti-Turst laws and that damage as far as Netscape's marketshare has already been done. Putting Netscape's browser into the MSFt package now would serve almost no purpose now. I cant believe any story that suggests this solution will call off the DOJ, the 19 States, and the entire trial. That would be a complete shocker if it was true! I would also lose all respect for the intelligence and commitment of the DOJ/States AG's/and US Justice System if that were the outcome (not that I have the highest respect for the US Justice system in the first place - just look at the ridiculous Punitive Damages decisions that are given out these days in the southern states - ahh but I am going on a tangent here). I would say that this thrown up remedy/solution was pure speculation on one person's part. Nothing more. It will take a hell of a lot more than this to bring closure to this trial. Toy
