In the conext of a married couple - the church also teaches sex outside marriage should be avoided - pretty good advice for people that can't afford drugs to fight off AIDS, since it's obvious they can't afford/culturally won't use condoms either. The church doesn't allow condoms either. And its pretty standard in some African nations for the husband to have sex outside of the marriage. The church certainly isn't responsible for the AIDS crisis in Africa but it has played a contributing role by prohibiting condoms and the pill. Unfortunately, many innocent women and children are dying horrible deaths from AIDS because there is no medicine to treat them. ted
