Jim, Your post about the APAT float came back to mind with Craig's post on the APAT short position... You said:

<< The folks I visited with who toured the facility two weeks ago were very impressed
with the employees, Dr. Jim Pooladdje and the facility.

There are 8million shares outstanding. I think that the figure of a 5million share float
may be a bit high. This stock has never traded in huge numbers since I have been
involved. I think a lot of that has to do with quite a few people just like myself. I
have never traded the stock and continue to add to my position. Right or wrong,
that has been the way I have invested in APAT.

The financials are good, as far as I am concerned, considering the costs that APAT
have undertaken getting the project off the ground. I did not expect APAT to make
any money the past few quarters but I did not figure they would lose as little as they
have while undergoing the transformation from R@D to manufacturing.
Management has always been fiscally responsible. >>

What I was interested in knowing --- did you ever get a better handle on the "real" number for the available float? If the increased short position in APAT (per Craig's data) is actually a much higher percentage of the "available" float, then the short positions become much more interesting <g>
According to the smarter Shorters, there isn't yet enough stock shorted to make a short squeeze feasible.. just uncomfortable if APAT comes out with some good news. But we can hope <g>
Are you having a great "Turkey Day"? (I'm trying to work off the first run at the chow by exercising my fingers on the keyboard) <g>
No golf today, but thinking about it :-) dlo
