No, I didn't, except for the fact that we drove past the fab site numerous times (near a town called Bray). Invariably the taxi driver or local hosts would point out that Intel (as well as DELL, HWP, IBM, etc) selected Ireland as one of its major high-tech colonies because of the country's rigorous science/math educational curriculum--next only to Germany within the EU communities. I also heard that Intel Ireland will have employed 8,000 people by the end of 1997. College graduates with appropriate backgrounds find themselves in high demand--there seems to be a bidding war going on for top talents.
