Re: So? A stock's price is not based solely on assets. Exactly. In this case fears of capital inadequacy are depressing the price. Eliminate the capital adequacy issue with a stock sale and maybe the price will rise from $8 vs. its competitor's price of $110. It's about a quarter the size of its competitor, so it shouldn't rise much past $16B in market cap, near term. (note - I'm just pointing out issues in Doug's argument. I don't think that buying any stock is a good idea in this economy)
