You just made the case for privatization of Government run industries. It was very far sighted for The US Government to break up AT&T back in 1983. It created the competitive environment that enabled the internet to occur. The internet today would not have caught on if user in the US had been paying .15 cents a minute. I guarantee you those rates were more like .40-.50 cents a minute a few years ago, not just in Korea, but in Europe etc.

Yet, I am on a dial up line and they are charging me 150 won ($.15) per minute...sheesh

Somebody should sell them some big routers and switches or something.

it too bad we don't know anyone who can offer that solution.
