Yaacov - Re: "Do you think INTC will reach 170 by then?"

I tend to avoid making predictions.

However, let me say this. The PC business looks healthy, Intel has launched a new product that seems to be well accepted - Pentium II -, low power, high speed Tillamook Pentium MMX chips on 0.25 micron process appear to be entering the market.

Couple this with a AMD's K6 launch - a good chip but no major (heck, not even minor!) defection from Intel's customers, plus obvious difficulty in manufacturing the K6 - ESPECIALLY 233 MHz versions.

I would say Intel should have a decent Q2 with earnings due out around mid-July. Further, I would expect them to indicate a healthy climate for the balance of 1997. These should be positive incentives for Intel's stock.

Your options expire July 19. At a $170 strike price, that is less than $7 from Intel's Friday closing price. My guess is that Intel should easily reach $170 by then (it may not hold there!), barring any more unforseen "lightning bolts" like Flag Errata and DEC lawsuits.
